Getting tired of all the water weeds around your dock and swim areas. You can do something about it. The Kootenai County Noxious Weed Control Department is responsible for controlling Eurasian milfoil only. Other water weeds can be managed by lakeshore owners by either pulling or cutting the weeds. Don't want to do it yourself? Give us a call and we will give you a list of people who remove water weeds. However you choose to remove the weeds in your area, PLEASE REMOVE ALL PULLED OR CUT WEEDS FROM THE WATER AND DISPOSE OF THEM ON DRY LAND. The homeowners on the lake that are up wind from you would appreciate not having to clean up your weeds from thier bay or beach. JET SKING THROUGH WEED INFESTED WATERS only cuts the weeds and makes a mess. Please stay out of these areas. Thank You
